Remembering Jerry

On January 8, 2021, Rainbow Elder Care of Greater Dayton lost its founder and fearless leader. Jerry Mallicoat was a force in the LGBT community. Not only did he take the reigns of this organization, but Jerry also forged relatioships with LGBT and allied leaders throughout Greater Dayton toward making the lives of LGBT elders better and stronger. He also enabled organizations helping older Daytonians and southwest Ohio residents to better meet the needs of LGBT elders. Jerry loved his work for Rainbow, and he truly appreciated what those he served could be in their golden years: happy, healthy and OUT!

We are so thankful for Jerry’s leadership and will miss him so very much! Godspeed, dear friend!
