LGBTQ older adults are less likely to seek services from aging service providers for fear of discrimination, and may fear complex challenges and barriers in long-term care settings. Please join us Tuesday, Feb. 27, 3 – 4:30 pm for this FREE informative webinar training — geared mostly for professionals in the senior services/long-term living professions. The training — courtesy of Brookdale Miami Township — will provide practical guidance, including program and policy recommendations on developing inclusive programs/services for LGBTQ older adults. Continuing education credit (one hour) is pending for nurses, social workers and long-term living facility managers, although anyone can attend regardless of whether you need education credit.
Britta Larson, MNA, LNHA, Senior Services Director from the Center on Halsted in Chicago will conduct the webinar training, courtesy of Brookdale Miami Township, co-sponsored with Rainbow Elder Care of Greater Dayton and held at the Alzheimer’s Association Miami Valley Chapter.
